Mathematical models for assessment of vehicle crashworthiness: a review

This article reviews approaches to mathematical modeling of a vehicle crash. The growing focus on and occupant safety in car crashes has triggered the need study crashworthiness initial stages development. major motivation for this work is support design during product development process.The divided into two parts; first one overviews existing models used solve engineering problems. second part describes strategies applied replicating non-linear crash event kinematics an protection loadcase. We also highlight alternative using hybrid techniques aimed at improvement process.
